Privacy Policy – SITREP uploader

Who we are

SITREP uploader is a private tool of SITREP Global, an independent YouTube channel (@SitrepGlobalreport) run by an individual creator. Contact: sitrepglobalreport@gmail.com.

What the tool does

SITREP uploader runs only on the channel owner's own computer. It uploads videos produced by the channel owner to the owner's own YouTube channel, always as private videos, together with their title, description, tags, thumbnail and English captions. The channel owner then reviews each video and schedules or publishes it by hand in YouTube Studio. The tool has no other users.

YouTube API Services

SITREP uploader uses YouTube API Services. By using it, the channel owner agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Google user data we access

With the channel owner's permission, the tool uses two permissions on the owner's own account:

• youtube.upload, to upload videos and set their thumbnails;
• youtube.force-ssl, to upload English captions for those videos.

The tool does not read, collect or store comments, analytics, subscribers, viewing data or any data about other users or other channels.

What we store and where

• The authorization token issued by Google, stored in a local file on the channel owner's computer. It is never shared or uploaded anywhere.
• The IDs of the videos the tool uploaded, kept in the channel's local production records.

We do not share, sell or transfer any data to third parties, and we use no advertising or analytics in this tool.

Cookies and device storage

Neither SITREP uploader nor this website uses cookies or similar tracking technologies. The only information SITREP uploader stores on a device is the authorization token described above, in a local file on the channel owner's own computer.

Retention, deletion and revoking access

The token is kept until access is revoked or the local file is deleted. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. After revocation the tool can no longer access the account, and the local token file is deleted.

Video IDs are kept as part of the channel's production records for as long as the videos exist. They can be deleted at any time on request to sitrepglobalreport@gmail.com, within 7 days of the request.
